Topciment varnishes and sealers

Select the sealer for the specific system, surface and service conditions. Floors require appropriate wear and traffic resistance; bathrooms require suitable water resistance; exterior surfaces require weather and UV performance. Matt, satin and gloss describe appearance, not a mechanical or water-resistance class.
Topsealer includes products with different chemistries and curing mechanisms. They are not all suitable for every microcement and do not all require the same intermediate coat. Assess the complete build-up: substrate, decorative coating, preparation before sealing and final protective layer.

Presealer is an acrylic pore-sealing product used before a compatible final varnish in the relevant microcement systems. It regulates surface absorption and helps the next coating apply evenly. It is not equivalent to a concrete primer or a stand-alone final varnish for a trafficked floor.
For Sttandard, Unlimitted and Evoluttion, assess it together with the specified Topsealer. Other systems use different sequences: Atlanttic Aquaciment uses WT Pool, while certain specialist varnishes have their own build-up without Presealer. Do not add an intermediate coat merely because another system uses it.

No. Topsealer WT One Coat is a two-component water-based polyurethane varnish, and its specified application involves two coats. The product name does not replace the application requirements. Components A and B are proportioned by mass at the specified ratio; litres and kilograms are not interchangeable units.
Recoating interval, mixed pot life and time before service are different parameters. Check whether the selected pack contains component A alone or also includes the required component B. Do not substitute hardeners from other ranges.

Topsealer WT All in One is a single-component product with a different purpose from two-component WT One Coat. Its applications include Efectto Quartz and the relevant epoxy coatings, but it must not be applied over Sttandard, Unlimitted or Evoluttion. Similar names do not establish interchangeability.
Check the room, traffic and water exposure as well as compatibility. A varnish for a decorative wall, for example, is not automatically suitable for a shower floor. When renewing an existing varnish, identify the old coating, its adhesion and the necessary preparation.

WT Dragon is a two-component water-based polyurethane varnish for demanding applications. DSV is a two-component solvent-based acrylic polyurethane varnish. PRO+ is a two-component polyaspartic protective system; FAST and SLOW differ in working time and curing. Topsealer 100 is a single-component aliphatic polyurethane product with 100% solids.
These differences affect preparation, mixing, application and time before service. Selection should not depend on price or sheen alone. Specify the exact microcement, area and traffic so that a compatible coating can be selected.

Resistance to splashes and occasional wetting is not equivalent to suitability for permanent immersion. Atlanttic Aquaciment uses Topsealer WT Pool, a specialist water-based sealer containing lithium salts. It is not a conventional two-component polyurethane varnish.
The pool structure and substrate must suit the complete system. WT Pool does not turn an arbitrary decorative coating into pool waterproofing. Filling is permitted no earlier than seven days after the final sealing coat, with the surface protected from water during that period.

The final varnish can alter colour depth and light reflection. A matt surface, satin finish and gloss finish look different even over the same pigmented microcement. Texture, lighting and application uniformity also influence the result.
Choose from a completed sample using the exact material, pigment and protective varnish. Do not assume matt means slip-resistant: the required slip performance must be specified for the whole system and application. Changing the varnish can also change the maintenance requirements.

Touch-dry, ready for recoating, suitable for foot traffic and fully cured are different conditions. Timings depend on the exact varnish, temperature, humidity and ventilation. Early wetting, covering or heavy loading can damage a protective layer that has not fully cured.
Before renewal, assess wear, contamination and adhesion of the existing varnish. Use appropriate cleaning and mechanical preparation for the selected product. A fresh coat over a peeling coating does not solve the underlying problem. WT Spray requires suitable spray equipment; it is not an aerosol can.
