Sika® SealTape S is an elastic waterproofing sealing tape for detailing under tiles in wet areas. The tape has an installation mesh on both sides and an elastic expansion zone in the centre to seal junctions, corners and penetrations as part of a combined waterproofing system.
When to choose Sika SealTape S?
Choose Sika® SealTape S for waterproofing bathrooms, wet rooms, balconies or terraces under tiles where perimeter joints, corners, floor-to-wall junctions, vertical and horizontal joints, or pipe penetrations must be sealed. The product is used for interior and exterior applications together with a Sika waterproofing mortar, tile adhesive and ceramic tiles.

Compatible system
Sika® SealTape S is embedded into a fresh waterproofing mortar such as SikaTop® Seal-107 or another suitable Sika waterproofing product. The tape is placed over the joint or edge coated with material, pressed firmly into position and fully covered with the waterproofing mortar. Tiling and grouting can then be carried out with suitable materials.
Important limitations
- Sika® SealTape S is not suitable for swimming pools; for this application, the TDS refers to Sika® SealTape F.
- For joints subject to movement, the system solution and expected movement must be checked.
- For drains, taps, pipes and corners, use the corresponding ready-made corner profiles and sleeves.
- When joining tapes, the TDS specifies an overlap of at least 40 mm.
Before ordering
Send the room perimeter, the number of internal/external corners, drains and pipes, and whether the project is a bathroom, wet room, balcony or terrace. This makes it possible to calculate not only the roll length, but also the required corners and sleeves.
