Topciment swimming pool microcement

Atlanttic Aquaciment is a two-component decorative microcement system for pool basins, coping and surrounding areas. It is developed for water contact and includes its own resin and protective product. It is not a waterproofing mortar and does not repair a leaking or cracked structure.
Structural watertightness and details around openings, joints and equipment must be resolved separately. This does not permit an arbitrary waterproofing membrane immediately beneath Atlanttic: the direct substrate must meet the system’s specific bonding requirements.

Atlanttic Aquaciment XXL is the coarser base microcement, while XL is the finer finishing material. Both are mixed with Acricem Pool, which forms component B and is also used in the specified priming stages. Topsealer WT Pool is the dedicated protective product for this system.
Standard Acricem does not replace Acricem Pool. WT Dragon, WT One Coat and Presealer are not automatic substitutes for WT Pool in the current swimming-pool system. Select the complete compatible set rather than the finishing powder alone.

Direct application over tiles, glass mosaic, tile adhesives, other microcements, waterproofing mortars or paints is not permitted. The accepted direct substrate is appropriately prepared reinforced concrete or shotcrete that is sound, stable and clean.
For a tiled-pool renovation, assess removal of existing layers, the concrete condition and the causes of any leakage first. General claims about applying interior microcement over tiles do not apply to Atlanttic Aquaciment. The pool basin requires a project-specific specification.

Atlanttic Aquaciment has applications in both chlorine-treated and saltwater pools when the full compatible build-up includes Acricem Pool and Topsealer WT Pool. This does not imply unlimited resistance to concentrated chemicals or incorrectly maintained water.
Maintain the water parameters and dosing required by the equipment; the system specifies a pH range of 7.2–7.6. Do not leave tablets or granules on the pool floor. Dose chemicals according to their instructions through appropriate equipment so that concentrate does not remain in contact with the coating.

Atlanttic Aquaciment XXL and XL are specified in white and natural white. No colourant is added for the natural white finish. Do not choose an arbitrary colour from the general microcement chart or add a universal colourant without an agreed system specification. Water colour is also influenced by depth and lighting.
Texture is a functional choice too. Increased smoothing and wet-on-wet application can remove the slip-resistant texture. Coping, steps and walking areas require the necessary slip resistance to be specified for the completed surface.

Fill the pool no earlier than seven days after the final Topsealer WT Pool application, provided the specified drying and curing conditions have been met. This period does not start with the first microcement coat. Until it has elapsed, protect the surface from water, including rain and accidental filling.
The programme must allow separate intervals for priming, base coats, finish coats and protection. Confirm the protective coat count against the applicable technical specification; a touch-dry surface is not sufficient evidence that the pool is ready to fill.

Monitor water quality regularly and remove contamination without aggressively damaging the protective layer. A mark may develop at the waterline, with a difference between permanently immersed and dry areas. Consider this when selecting the decorative pool finish.
Assess the condition of Topsealer WT Pool periodically. Renewal at approximately one- to two-year intervals is indicated, depending on condition and use, with the necessary preparation beforehand. Plan protective-coating renewal as maintenance rather than waiting for severe wear.

Measure the actual coated area: floor, walls, steps, coping and other details. Pool volume in cubic metres is insufficient. Indicative consumption on a sound, flat substrate is 4 kg/m² of Aquaciment XXL for two coats and 3 kg/m² of Aquaciment XL for two coats; Acricem Pool and WT Pool are calculated separately.
For a quotation, provide photographs, dimensions, construction type, existing finishes and any leakage information. Concrete repairs, the waterproofing solution and installation must be distinguished from material prices.
