Topciment two-component microcement

Both are two-component cementitious microcements in which the powder is mixed with Acricem. Sttandard offers Microbase, Microfino, Microdeck and Microstone for different stages and surfaces. Unlimitted includes Microbase and Microdeck and emphasises improved workability and a smoother decorative effect with less pronounced dark steel-trowel marks.
The choice is not simply a question of a “stronger” or “newer” product. Compare the intended application, aggregate grade, texture and complete system from primer to sealer.

Microbase forms the base beneath the finish; its coarser grades can also create certain rustic textures. Sttandard Microdeck is a finishing material primarily for interior floors. Sttandard Microfino is a fine coating for interior walls and non-trafficked surfaces. Sttandard Microstone is an exterior option with a more textured mineral finish.
The finishing range in Unlimitted is Microdeck rather than Microfino. A shared product name across two ranges does not imply an identical formulation or consumption rate.

The aggregate grade describes particle size and affects texture, coat thickness and consumption. Microbase L, XL and XXL are selected for the base build-up and intended structure. Unlimitted Microdeck S produces a finer finish than M and allows different finishing work with the trowel.
Letter designations must be interpreted within their particular range. The shared Microdeck name does not mean identical material in Sttandard, Evoluttion and Unlimitted. Choose using a sample of the completed system, including pigment and protective sealer.

No. In Sttandard and Unlimitted, Acricem is a functional system component contributing to adhesion and mechanical properties. Replacing it with water changes the formulation and is not an equivalent solution. The ratio is specified for the exact Microbase or Microdeck product, rather than by one recipe for the entire range.
Measure the powder, resin and colourant accurately and mix mechanically at low speed. Acricem Pool is not a universal alternative: it is intended for Atlanttic Aquaciment.

They can form part of a correctly selected bathroom system, with the finishing material chosen for the wall or floor. Trafficked surfaces require a floor material rather than Microfino. Wet areas need the required waterproofing, correctly detailed drains and corners, and a protective sealer selected for the water exposure.
Presealer prepares the microcement before the final varnish and does not by itself complete shower-area protection. A bathroom system must not automatically be transferred to a swimming pool under permanent immersion.

The substrate must be sound, stable, clean and sufficiently flat. On tiles, check their bond and level the joints; on screeds, assess strength, cracks and residual moisture. Primacem Plus is a bonding primer for non-absorbent substrates, while Primacem ABS is intended for absorbent substrates.
Builtex reinforcement mesh is included according to the system and substrate. It does not repair structural cracks or justify covering movement joints. Microbase coats are applied before the selected finishing material.

Yes. Sttandard and Unlimitted require compatible protection. The usual sequence includes Presealer on the microcement followed by a suitable Topsealer. Select the varnish for traffic, moisture, interior or exterior exposure and the desired matt, satin or gloss finish.
Different sealers affect colour depth and appearance differently. The approved sample should therefore include the final sealer rather than coloured microcement alone. A varnish’s trade name does not by itself determine the number of coats or the return-to-service time.

Calculate Microbase, finishing microcement, Acricem, colourant and protective coats separately. Use the consumption rates for the exact aggregate grade and actual coat build-up, allowing for substrate condition. A coarser base material may have a different consumption rate from a finer product with a similar name.
The measured area includes all treated walls, floors and details. Specify the range, colour, texture and packs when requesting a quotation; a bucket of powder without its required resin is not a complete kit.
