Sikalastic®-260 Stop Aqua is a ready-to-use, 1-component liquid waterproofing membrane for bathrooms, shower cabins and indoor wet rooms. The product forms a fully bonded, seamless membrane that is ready for subsequent tile installation.
When should you choose Sikalastic-260 Stop Aqua?
Choose Sikalastic®-260 Stop Aqua when you need fast waterproofing for a bathroom under tiles and the application is indoors. The membrane is water-based, applied by roller or trowel, and is part of a system with Sika® SealTape tapes, primers and tile adhesives.

System details: joints, drains and pipes
For movement joints, floor-to-wall joints, floor drains and pipes, the TDS specifies the use of suitable Sika® SealTape F tapes and collars. This is critical in bathroom and shower areas because most leaks do not occur through the flat area, but at corners, penetrations and drains.
Preparation and application
The substrate must be clean, dry and free from dust, oils, grease, surface treatment compounds and friable particles. The product is supplied ready to use and does not require mixing. Apply evenly with a short-pile roller or trowel, in two coats, after the relevant waiting time.
Before ordering
Send the area of the bathroom or shower zone, substrate type, number of drains, pipe penetrations and internal/external corners. This allows calculation not only of Sikalastic®-260 Stop Aqua, but also of the required tapes, collars, primer and tile adhesive.
