Sika® Igolflex®-101 DE is a 1-component, ready-to-use polymer-bitumen waterproofing product for thick-layer application. It is used as a waterproofing membrane on concrete and masonry, most often for reinforced concrete slabs, underground parts of buildings, basement walls and porous mineral substrates.
The product is elastic, does not sag on vertical surfaces and has good crack-bridging ability. It is suitable where bituminous waterproofing is required for foundations and structures, but it is not the right choice for surfaces that will be directly exposed to vehicle or pedestrian traffic.
When to choose Sika® Igolflex®-101 DE?
- For waterproofing foundations and basement walls - on concrete or masonry with a porous surface.
- For reinforced concrete slabs and podiums - when the system requires a thick-layer bituminous membrane.
- For vertical surfaces - when it is important that the coating does not sag during application.
- For substrates with small cracks - when crack-bridging ability is required within the system application.

Important limitations
- Do not use in contact with drinking water.
- Do not use as a direct finish for vehicle or pedestrian traffic.
- For exposed UV-exposed surfaces, check whether a protective system or another product is required.
- The substrate must be sound, clean and prepared according to the Sika technical data sheet.
Preparation and application
Before application, the substrate must be cleaned of dust, oils, loose material and weak existing coatings. On highly absorbent or uneven substrates, the system primer is especially important. For details around corners, junctions and penetrations, assess whether reinforcing fabric is required.

Sika® Igolflex®-101 DE is available in a 28 L pack.
