Cement-based systems for floors and walls combine substrate preparation, levelling and decorative finishing materials. This collection includes cement-based microcements and related components from different brands. Start with the surface and intended use: a floor, wall, staircase or another expressly permitted area.
Base coat and finishing microcement
The base coat prepares the surface for the finish. Fine wall microcement and floor finishing materials may have different grain sizes and permitted loads. In the Sttandard system, for example, Microbase is a preparation material, Microfino is a wall finish, Microdeck is an interior floor finish and Microstone is intended for outdoor areas. Primer, pigment and protective coat
Select the primer by substrate absorption and condition. Some microcements are mixed with water; others require a separate resin. The pigment and sealer must suit the selected system. Similar product names do not establish compatibility between brands.
Products and brands

Existing tiles and bathrooms
For tiled substrates, first check soundness, adhesion, joints and required preparation. In bathrooms, establish direct water exposure, waterproofing and details around drains and corners. Do not assume that a decorative finish provides the complete waterproofing system.
System quantity and cost
The calculation covers area, substrate condition, consumption of each coat, package sizes and the protective finish. Send a technical enquiry with photographs, dimensions, room type and the desired effect to select suitable materials.
Repair before the decorative finish
For defects in horizontal concrete, this category also includes MC-Bauchemie Nafufill KM 130, a PCC repair material. It is not decorative microcement and does not replace the fine finish. Establish the repair method and compatibility with subsequent coats separately.
Questions about cement-based floor and wall systems
What does a system include?
Substrate preparation, a suitable primer, base and finishing coats and, where required, a protective sealer. The manufacturer specifies the exact sequence.
Is floor microcement the same as wall microcement?
Not always. Fine wall materials may not be intended for pedestrian traffic. Choose a version expressly specified for the surface.
Is it mixed with water or resin?
It depends on the product. One-component powder systems typically require water, while two-component systems use the specified resin. Check the package and technical sheet.
How do I select a primer?
By substrate material, absorption, moisture, soundness and compatibility with the next coat. A tile primer is not automatically interchangeable with a primer for absorbent substrates.
Can it be applied over tiles?
With a suitable system over sound, clean and stable tiles. Check hollow areas, joints, grease and levelling requirements first.
Is it suitable for a bathroom?
Some systems have this application. Selection depends on direct wetting, substrate, waterproofing and protective finish. Verify suitability for the exact products.
Can different brands be combined?
Only where compatibility of the complete layer sequence is established. Similar names such as primer, resin or sealer do not prove interchangeability.
How is the required quantity calculated?
From the area and consumption of each coat, accounting for the substrate, coat count, package sizes and required components. Send dimensions and photographs for a quotation.
