Microcement for ceilings can be considered as a decorative finish when a connection between the mineral appearance of walls and ceiling is desired. Before choosing materials, establish the substrate, adhesion and the system’s suitability for overhead application.
Concrete or suspended ceiling
For concrete, check adhesion, contamination and levelling requirements. For suspended construction, stability, board joints and movement are decisive. The decorative layer does not correct deformation or leaks.
Lighting and decorative texture
Side lighting highlights tool marks and unevenness. A sample under the selected lighting helps establish colour, texture and finish. Plan the working areas with the installer.
Preparation before installation
Specify the area, height, construction type, existing coatings and working access. Layers and quantities are determined after selecting a suitable system for this surface.
