SikaWall®-40 Primer is an acrylic concrete-contact primer with quartz sand for low-absorbency and smooth substrates. It is used before machine-applied lime-cement and gypsum-lime plasters, creating a rough surface texture and improving adhesion of the subsequent layer.
When should you choose SikaWall 40 Primer?
Choose SikaWall®-40 Primer when the substrate is smooth, dense or low-absorbency and a standard primer will not provide sufficient mechanical key for plaster. It is the right product for searches such as concrete contact primer, bonding primer and quartz sand primer when the next layer is a machine-applied plaster, not a waterproofing or flooring system.

Application
The substrate must be clean, dry and free from loose particles or old coatings. Mix the material with a low-speed electric mixer until homogeneous. Apply undiluted with a brush or long-pile roller in one even coat; for machine application, dilution with water up to a maximum of 10% is permitted. Drying time of the layer is 6-8 hours depending on conditions, while the TDS states 1 day before the next layer at +20 °C and 50% relative humidity.

Please send the substrate type, area and the plaster that will be applied afterwards. If you are looking for a concrete-contact primer for tiles, a flooring system or waterproofing, a different primer must be selected according to the specific system.
