SikaShield® P32 PE 4 kg/m² is an APP-modified bitumen waterproofing membrane with a mass of 4 kg/m² and a polyethylene film surface. It is used as a base layer in multi-layer roof waterproofing systems for flat and pitched roofs, balconies and terraces.
When to choose SikaShield P32 PE 4 kg/m²?
Choose SikaShield® P32 PE 4 kg/m² when a torch-applied APP bitumen roll membrane is required as a base layer in a multi-layer system. The TDS specifies that the product is not suitable as a finishing layer for roofs that are permanently exposed to UV effects.

Application and substrate
The substrate must be uniform, sound, smooth, clean, dry and free from sharp protrusions, oils, grease, bitumen, dust and loose particles. Apply a suitable Sika primer to the prepared dry surface, then allow it to dry. For torch application, heat the substrate and the underside film until the film starts to melt, then press the membrane onto the substrate.
Important limitations
- Not suitable as a finishing layer under permanent UV exposure.
- At low temperatures, the membrane becomes less flexible and must be unrolled carefully.
- For application below +5 °C, heating equipment must be used to ensure the required substrate temperature.
- On slopes above 15%, multi-layer roofs must be carefully designed and mechanical fastening used where required.
- Provide side laps of at least 100 mm and end laps of at least 150 mm according to the TDS.
