Microcement for walls is a decorative solution for mineral texture and a continuous appearance. It is used for feature walls and full interior surfaces, with the system selected according to the substrate and whether the wall stays dry or is directly wetted.
Preparation for the wall type
Concrete, cement render and gypsum substrates have different absorbency and priming requirements. With plasterboard, structural stability and joint treatment matter. Assess the adhesion of old paint and coverings before choosing a system.
Colour, texture and lighting
The final appearance depends on the pigment, application technique and sealer. A sample under the actual lighting helps establish shade, texture and sheen before treating the whole wall.
Bathroom and kitchen walls
A decorative wall in a dry area and a shower wall face different water exposure. For direct wetting, establish waterproofing, corners, penetrations and the suitability of the completed system. Choose the protective coating according to permitted cleaning methods as well.
